This is a volunteer role. There is no payment, commission or other financial compensation, and we won’t imply otherwise. If that ever changes, we’ll say so clearly in updated program terms before anyone takes on paid work.

What ambassadors can never do

We’re looking for a small, welcoming founding group in Accra and Bangkok: people who live there, people who’ve made a home there, and people who already bring communities together. There are no identity quotas, and every application is read by a person.

A Founding Ambassador badge means someone was approved to help welcome people in the community. It does not mean their identity has been verified, or that they’re a licensed or professional guide.

Founding Ambassador program terms

  1. Voluntary and unpaid. The role is voluntary. You won’t receive payment, commission or any other financial compensation, and nothing about the role makes you an employee or contractor of VoyaKin.
  2. Approval. Nobody becomes an ambassador automatically. A VoyaKin administrator reviews each application and may approve, decline or request a conversation. Submitting doesn’t guarantee a place.
  3. Conduct. Ambassadors follow the Community Guidelines, treat everyone with respect, give honest and helpful information, and never pressure members into meetups, purchases or sharing personal details.
  4. Privacy. Ambassadors get no access to private conversations, hidden travel dates, accommodation details or account data, and can only see aggregated community statistics.
  5. What the badge means. The Founding Ambassador badge recognizes community help. It isn’t identity verification, professional certification or a government license. You choose whether it’s shown on your profile.
  6. Stepping away. You can withdraw your application or step down at any time. VoyaKin may end ambassador status, for example after a Community Guidelines violation, and will tell you if it does.
